Self-Branding
OUGD402
Design, develop and produce self-branding that effectively communicates and promotes you as an individual, designer and learner.
*Reflect upon your learning aspirations and design direction.
*Aim to communicate the context of your interest by referencing specific designers, studios,

RESOLUTION:
*A representation of what YOU see as important as an individual designer and learner in light of what you have learned on the programme to date.
*What are your creative concerns? Opinions and beliefs? And how do you communicate these practically conceptually a practically?
DELIVERABLES:
Fully resolved self branding
(Including but not limited to)
A logotype/symbol
Colour swatch
Typeface (display and body copy)
Presentation template (grid)

This should be developed with reference

What is a brand?
A perceived emotional corporate image as a whole.

What is an identity?
The ‘visual’ elements that form a part of the overall brand

What is a logo?
The identity of the overall brand in it’s simplest form

Brand – what you supply (apple brand)
Identity- an apple
The logo (bitten apple)

So why do we need an identity at all?
To stand out, to be unique and different to everyone else.

Range that is the portfolio of services you have offered
Distribution these are the methods and platforms you consider that communicate your services by means of investigation.
DIGITAL COMMUNICATION
PRINTED: be as creative as you can with all forms of print that will illustrate you and your abilities specifically. A creative mind, that exhibits thinking, evaluation and direction presented through a range of printed mediums.

DIGITAL: the online presence that will exhibit creativity, research, evaluation and application using innovation and what illustrates YOU as a cross medium operator. Covering ANY forms of digital delivery and media you find appropriate.

YOUR TASK:
To prepare an individual identity based on you as a product, to be valid in communication WHO and WHAT you are and the services you offer. You should consider all methods of communication, evaluation …

DELIVERABLES:
A fully resolved self-branding to include:
A logotype/ symbol / mark,
A colour palette/ swatch,
Chocie of typeface/ s.
Sample of printed/ digital examples.

This should be developed to illustrate the relevance to you as a specific (at this point) creative and all contextual research materials, formats and content.
